In order to prevent disruptions in nutrient absorption, the recovery drink also contains a small amount of sugar, namely only 2g. Recovery after training or a competition is crucial so that we are ready for a new training or new effort as quickly as possible. During consecutive competitions or stage races, recovery is crucial.
The recovery drink contains 43.5 g of protein per 100 g of product. It contains pea protein as a source of protein. 43 g of carbohydrates replenish glycogen reserves that are depleted during activity. Amylopectin is a carbohydrate source derived from potato starch. Amylopectin is characterized by rapid digestibility and rapid absorption. The ratio between protein and carbohydrates in the product is 1:1. At 226ers they have decided to give special importance to proteins. Protein is often neglected after training, but is crucial for muscle tissue recovery.
The product also contains 250 mg arginine, 1500 mg creatine, 500 mg medium-chain triglycerides, so-called MCTs, and flaxseed. Arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide NO and contributes to increased blood flow and nutrient supply to the muscles. It is also needed for muscle protein synthesis. Creatine has been clinically proven to help increase muscle mass. It contributes to improving performance and reducing fatigue.
